What is Cancer?
Cancer is an abnormal growth of cells which is usually derived from a single cell, that have lost its normal control mechanisms and thus have uncontrolled growth.
Cancerous cells, also known as malignant cells can develop from any tissue within any organ. These cells from the initial or primary site can spread (metastasize) throughout the body, (Merck Manual, 2003). Cancers found in the male reproductive system is known as Urogenital cancers. |
